JD Edwards CNC Consultant

This consultant should have multiple years of experience supporting all JD Edwards CNC activities for our OneWorld customers. This position will be responsible for a range of CNC administration tasks including package builds, security modifications, ESU installation, end-user troubleshooting, performance tuning and client assessments. Experience with installations, upgrades and World to OneWorld migrations is beneficial, but not required. Candidate should have experience with medium to large installations (over 200 users) and be familiar with all versions of JDE above Xe as well as multiple OS and DB platforms. Communication skills are critical, this position will be required to interact with end users as well as Database Administrators, System Analysts and System Architects.

 

JDE Developer

Seeking an experienced JDE developer to support a quickly growing portfolio of clients. Candidate must be able to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment and display critical problem solving skills across all versions of JDE (8.x - 9.0) and all major modules (Finance, Manufacturing, HR, Distribution, etc.).  Experience working with multiple customers simultaneously is a plus. 
 
Other requirements:
4 year degree in IT/IS or relevant discipline
5+ years relevant experience
Willingness to travel (50-80%)

Experience in troubleshooting existing code as well as creating custom code from scratch

 

Database Consultant

Under general supervision, designs, implements, and maintains moderately complex databases.  As a member of the Data Services team, candidates must demonstrate the ability to troubleshoot incidents, research options and implement solutions while maintaining service level agreements. Emphasis on strong problem resolution and communication skills.

Responsibilities
Perform database administration functions including security access, performance tuning, capacity planning, and database backup and recovery.
Proactive monitoring of database systems
Develop and enhance data integration procedures
Respond to on-call pages as required.

Qualifications
Candidates must have 5+ years of DBA experience with strong proficiency in Oracle (9i, 10g, 11g) and/or SQL Server 2000/2005/2008.
Experience with high availability technologies such as clustering (RAC, MSCS), database mirroring, log shipping and replication.
Database certification is not mandatory but a plus.

 

Microsoft SQL Server Consultant - Junior Level

Under general supervision, designs, implements, and maintains moderately complex databases.  As a member of the Data Services team, candidates must demonstrate the ability to troubleshoot incidents, research options and implement solutions while maintaining service level agreements. Emphasis on strong problem resolution and communication skills.

Help Desk Technician (Level 1)

The Help Desk Technician (Level 1) will be responsible for providing remote and in-house support to clients for a variety of technology related issues. The Help Desk Technician works directly with clients and will also assist upper-level engineers and consultants to ensure that our clients needs are consistently being met. It is essential for the Help Desk Technician to deliver excellent technical support and customer-care services during each and every interaction.

Responsibilities
Respond to requests for technical assistance in person, via phone, electronically.

Diagnose and resolve technical software and end user related issues.
Research questions using available information sources.
Advise user on appropriate action.
Follow standard help desk procedures.
Log all help desk interactions.
Administer help desk software.
Redirect larger problems to appropriate resource.
Identify and escalate situations requiring urgent attention.
Track and route problems and requests and document resolutions.
Prepare various reports, internally and for customers.
Stay current with system information, changes and update.
Light clerical work.


Qualifications
This position requires customer service orientation, problem analysis and problem solving, attention to detail, adaptability, planning and organizing skills and stress tolerance.

Working knowledge of fundamental operations of relevant software, hardware and other equipment.
Knowledge of relevant call tracking applications.
Knowledge and experience of customer service practices
Oral and written communication skills.

 

iSeries (AS/400) Systems Administrator - Level 3

Seeking highly motivated senior level iSeries systems administrator to help support our growing portfolio of hosted and remote iSeries customers.  This position will be responsible for maintaining optimal performance and availability of the systems as well as disaster recovery (DR) planning and long-term growth strategies.

Responsibilities
Implement PTF’s, patches, upgrades, and updates for the iSeries and associated systems and software packages
Manage all aspects of security on multiple iSeries machines
Backup and recovery, DR planning, DR documentation, DR process audits, and DR testing (MIMIX or iTera experience required)
Maintain all critical SLAs for iSeries systems and services
Proactive management of systems capacities and constraints
Identify, diagnose and repair required break-fix issues on iSeries hardware
Ensure software and iSeries management is in compliance with SAS70 regulations
Documentation of standard procedural activities and duties
Documentation of all activities on the iSeries systems (change controls)

Qualifications
Candidate must have 5 or more years of experience with day-to-day operation and management of iSeries for medium to large installations
Experience with AS/400 PTF’s and change control procedures
Experience in Client Access, iSeries Navigator, and 5250 emulation
Experience working with All major version of Windows Server
Ability to prioritize and multi-task in high pressure situations
Excellent customer relation skills
Strong communication skills

 

Support Technician-2nd Shift

We are seeking a motivated technical support specialist to join our second shift managed services team in Loveland, Ohio. This position will focus on basic JD Edwards CNC activity such as package builds and security changes as well as system monitoring and priority response. Candidates should be self-driven and have at least 5 years of technical support experience in medium to large companies (>200 users). The ability to work productively without immediate supervision is required, JD Edwards CNC experience is preferred (this position will receive considerable upfront and ongoing CNC training across all major releases of JD Edwards).  Second shift is 3p-12m.

Responsibilities
Execute JD Edwards Object management tasks (object/project promotion, package assembly, build and deployment, web generation, client updates, etc.)
Perform emergency JDE security changes (account enable/disable, password reset)
Monitor and respond to automated system alerting.
Identify and prioritize issues, escalate as necessary.
Follow documented procedures, determining criticality and alerting on-call personnel as necessary.

Qualifications
At least 5 years of technical support experience in medium to large environments (> 200 users)
Hands-on experience with Windows server and desktop administration.
Solid understanding of networking concepts and troubleshooting.
Intermediate knowledge of database management (SQL required, Oracle is a plus)
Strong communication skills, both with customers and internal technical staff.
